Who makes VisionWall, and why.

Lucas Viegas is a creative director based in Lisbon, Portugal. He designed VisionWall, built the app, and handles every support email himself. There is no support team in front of him: when someone writes to [email protected], it is Lucas who reads the message and Lucas who replies.

A vision board only works if you see it. Keep one, follow it, and look at it every day: that is the whole practice, and it falls apart the moment the board is out of sight. Lucas kept his on Pinterest, which meant it lived in a browser tab, behind whatever else was open. He wanted the board on the desktop, where it would be in front of him every time he closed a window.

VisionWall is that: the board he was already keeping, turned into the wallpaper of his own Mac.

One person builds VisionWall, so the product is shaped by what one person can honestly maintain. There is no account to create and no login. The app runs no analytics and sends no telemetry. There is no server of its own that has to stay up: VisionWall reads a public Pinterest board and composes the wallpaper on the Mac itself.
